I played around with the idea of characters piloting a mech. After about three hours in Toon Boom Storyboard I created this design of a jester-type robot being controlled by a clownfish. The other goal behind this was practicing character expressions of two different characters.
This design was made around the idea of a bounty hunter droid. I took some design elements from deer to create a droid that specialized in stalking and intimidating whatever target they had. Additionally, I wanted the model to look like it was easy to replicate in a factory setting as this design is the base form of a mass-produced model.
